Founded by Spanish Conqueror Francisco Pizarro in 1539, the old city of San Juan de la Frontera de Huamanga (Saint John of the Frontier of Huamanga) features countless attractions for the tourist, and is the ideal starting point to explore the rest of the department of Ayacucho.

Day 01 : Ayacucho

Arrival and private transfer to your hotel. Morning city tour including visits to the Main Square, colonial houses such as Casa Castilla, Casa Zamora (University of Huamanga), Casa Boza, Casa Solis (Prefecture), Casa Velarde Alvarez (School of Arts), also the City Hall and the Cathedral. THen we will continue visiting the Andre A. Caceres Museum and some beautiful churches such as San Francisco, Santa Teresa, and San Cristóbal. Return to your hotel. Overnight.

Day 02 : Wari / Pampas de Ayacucho

After breakfast we will visit the pre-Inca ruins of Wari and then the Pampas of Ayacucho. We will then continue to Huanta, where we will visit the traditional market, church, and main square. On the way we will visit the Caves of Pichimachay where remains belonging to the oldest men in America were found. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

Day 03 : Vilcashuaman

After breakfast we will start a full day Excursion to Vilcashuaman. On the way we will also observe the Puyas de Raimondi. Lunch. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

Day 04 : Ayacucho

Breakfast and transfer to the airport or bus station.
