On the slopes of Mount Oromina, just 6 km from Moyobamba, lie the sulfur-laden thermal baths of Oromina. The area features sulfur bubbling up from the ground, and can be found in grains sticking to the leaves of plants in the region.
The local waters are recommended for treating skin and stomach ailments. Some 200 meters from the pools lie the Asnacyacu falls, an 8-meter waterfall which is worth a visit.
